Actually, Tony, anyone who has simply trusted in Jesus Christ for eternal life is a saint in a positional sense because of his position in Christ. Every believer has been positionally sanctified, set apart unto God. While not every believer is experientially sanctified which is what you are referring to and which is a matter of spiritual growth after having been eternally saved, every believer is positionally sanctified. No matter how much a believer may sin after salvation, in a positional sense, he is a saint.
