How do you think they prepared the body before wrapping it?...

At the ordination of the deacons in my diocese last year after their three-year study, a butterfly flag was part of the procession. So indeed there is a metaphorical connection there. Rebirth. New life in a new form.

I do not know, I only know those strips were wrapped on him because they came off of him, and were seen in his tomb. You take off the leg wraps, the arm wraps, the torso wraps the head wrap and the neck wrap and you can see right where his head wrap comes off in Revelation because the eyes are revealed. I don't know exactly how he was prepared, I just know he was wrapped like a cocoon and each one came off, and the head covering put in it's own appointed place. There is a lot of Revelation that talks about this and how the sky rolls up like a scroll.
