Maybe I took a leaf out of the book of you folk when Moses spent just a little longer up that mountain than you boys wanted.
Jesus himself said it's very nice that you believe in God but also believe him. Believe him about what ? The true identity of the God most of the Jews did not know. Have I been so long with you that you don't know me ?.
Considering that all that was not written by the namesakes...Ok, so you are making up your own god as you go along...More power to you...
sure, go ahead and redefine the meaning of jewish idioms...tell us we don't understand our own religion...christians are so original that they had to steal our mashiach and turn him into something that he's not...
Reminds me of an orthodox Jewish girl I used to talk to and she was generally correct in her assumptions. She would tell me things that she wouldn't tell other Christians. Things about the days of the king, the king in the field and such, the 2000 year intervals and things that could possibly be used by a Christian but she was hush hush because she was always right in that if she told a Christian, they take it and turn it into something else and so it was better not to tell anyone. And there are so many things a Talmud studying Jew would know that a Christian would never know.
This world is FULL of information and we only have one life-time. One must make decisions for themselves about what is important for them to focus on, and what is not. Fortunately, we're a diverse bunch, we humans. That's the spice of life, yeah? God would know this, and speak to each person's uniqueness. You've found something that moves you during this phase of your life, and that's great. Hopefully you trust that God communicates to others in the way that is best for them at any given time.
Yeah, Somebody devoting themselves to the understanding of the book of Revelation MUST study the Talmud and Christians just don't want to hear that but the Talmud is the only source where we find so many Jewish idioms of the Torah cycle of prayers spoken on exact days and how the priests actually perform their duties in the fall Holy days.
People read of that 30 min of silence in heaven they think the congregation falling down in profound silence is something new, but it is a practice performed every day.
''The kingdoms of the Earth have becomes the kingdoms of our Lord.''
Everyone should already know exactly what day this is because it is only spoke on one day.
So many Jewish idioms that a Jew would know if he were being raised as a Rabbi.
