So you are just A-OK with JC advising how to beat slaves then, are you? Seems almost righteous, don't it?

But He does NOT exist. The God of agape love revealed by Jesus the Christ is the only God that ever existed. Everything else is the ignorant misunderstanding and barbaric superstitions of our primitive ancestors' vanity and hubris.

He that truly loves his brothers and sisters, loves God. You cannot Love God who you do NOT see if you do not love those you DO see. That is why we are told that to love is to be "conceived by God"(born of God) and to know God and Jesus. We are also told that to know God and Jesus IS eternal life. That seems kinda important, Rbbi, but YMMV.

Uh huh....and once again. If you cannot keep covenant with G-d (by laying your life down for Him), you cannot keep covenant with man (by laying your life down for him).

So you can quote all the agape stuff all day long and twice on Sunday and you're still found out by those who know the principles, even IF you didn't already open your mouth on the other error of not being born from above. Peace

When you are hungry, do you look at people as a source of food?

Funny you should ask that. Actually, I do. It's called the Feast of Tabernacles in action, people being His Tabernacles and by the Spirit of G-d I'm always looking for a table (tables of the heart) prepared as a feast in the midst of my enemies (the carnal minds of men).

That's why you may see me rep my "enemies" on this board, just as much as my "friends", IF they bring some treasure out of their heart/table to share that is palatable, having been cleansed by the Spirit.

Let the stoning begin.....Peace

I've noticed that along with a lack of empathy and other characteristics, fundies revel in a sense of martyrdom.

It's comical, in kind of a sad way.

A father would lay his life down for his son/daughter with his last breath.
Or, is there some kind of law which I am unaware of that opposes this notion.

Why is Lust a horrible sin? How is it harmful?

You certainly came to the right forum to NOT get a straight answer to your question. All you'll get from the fundamentalists is "The Bible says it. I believe it. That settles it!"

Why is it harmful? Again, they haven't the vaguest clue. "Have faith in God's command. He loves you and He would never tell you not to do something if it wasn't for your own good."

Did I miss anything, guys?

Fundamentalists can rain on someone's parade faster than anybody I know.

There is a natural lust; And one that is not. But only your heart knows the difference.
