You are throwing away, life everlasting because of false reasoning.
Everlasting life is found and obtained in the Bible??? My comments were about a conflicted Bible. Throw your Bible away until you learn how it was intended to be used. Hint: Your church doesn't know.

Personally, in my opinion I say the blame lies with MONSANTO, BAYER, UPJOHN, MERCK, and the other pharmaceuticals / manufactures of toxins...
Oh. Ok. Then my information is wrong. Silly me; I thought infants sometimes suffered and died of congenital diseases and disabilities etc. before Monsanto, Bayer, Upjohn, Merck and the U.S. of A. existed.
There are other genetic defects other that down syndrome, and it is possible there were other toxins in play prior the 1860s--lead was extremely prevalent as were multitude of other pesticides and heavy metals that could cause genetic mutations..and given the exponential increase in down syndrome and autism and variations like Asperger syndrome one has to wonder how the big manufactures of toxins contribute to these issues.

Spina Bifida - The most severe case of SBA, and spina bifida as a whole, is myelocele (Aufderheide et al. 2008: 61). Infection is often manifested in the individual due to the failure of closure of the skin and dura, and thus, if the infant is not given proper medical treatment, death shortly follows birth (Aufderheide et al. 2008: 61). Of course these things are the result of genetic flaws! The point is that your God created diseases that afflict newborns and created the means of genetic errors/flaws that afflict newborns! If your God was real and was love and was perfect and was pure as your very conflicted Bible says he is, this could not happen without an epic failure of your God and his love and his perfection and his purity.

the God that you do not believe exists? That One? The honest truth is that those children were going to die someday anyway, and it was still going to be a tragedy for someone. Not actually, when Salk released the vaccine in 1952, America was in the middle of an epidemic that saw an increase of nearly 20,000 cases from years prior--

The U.S. experienced an outbreak of 58,000 and 35,000 polio cases, respectively, up from a typical number of some 20,000 a year. Amid this U.S. polio epidemic, millions of dollars were invested in finding and marketing a polio vaccine by commercial interests, including Lederle Laboratories in New York under the direction of H. R. Cox.
Also working at Lederle was Polish-born virologist and immunologist Hilary Koprowski, who claims to have created the first successful polio vaccine, in 1950. His vaccine, however, being a live attenuated virus taken orally, was still in the research stage and would not be ready for use until five years after Jonas Salk's polio vaccine (a dead-virus injectable vaccine) had reached the market. Koprowski's attenuated vaccine was prepared by successive passages through the brains of Swiss albino mice. By the seventh passage, the vaccine strains could no longer infect nervous tissue or cause paralysis. After one to three further passages on rats, the vaccine was deemed safe for human use.
On 27 February 1950, Koprowski's live, attenuated vaccine was tested for the first time on an 8-year-old boy living at Letchworth Village, an institution for the physically and mentally disabled located in New York. yes, i understand that that is the official line, and i'm sure you are aware of the other line, suggesting that that one is falsely inflated. I don't know, but we are both surely aware of the abuses possible with modern medicine, the potential for population reduction, etc. Polio is a virus, that 95%+ of the population is effectively immune to anyway, and as unpleasant as it is in the moment for the 5%, epidemics serve a purpose, and you do not know that the 95% are any better off for being "immunized," which seems to weaken general immunity, not strengthen it.
