Nobody likes Trump, but Trump is the party that loves America, the other party are racist haters of America.
hmm. If Trump was as successful as he projects, that might be enough--at least he would certainly shake up the system, and who wouldn't agree that that is in order. Unfortunately, Trump was the first "too big to fail," and he has made a complete mire of everything since the NYC ice skating rink back in the 70's. He is as broke as our zombie banks, and his only asset is his name, and marketing ability.
wadr, this was not a religion in the same way we think of religion now. The OT seems like mostly a record of how not to serve God; they were plenty cut off before that! Judaism is a religion now, but it was a lifestyle then. Theonomy, yes, until they rejected even that. God is not religious, and doesn't want you to be either imo
Jesus spoke to 7 congregations( one religion) in Rev 2,3( now in these lastdays rev occurs)--proving he has a religion on the earth, as well as,
he is head of the congregation-Ephesians 5:3)
And yes that spiritual way of life is a lifestyle now as well. (Matt 16:24--the true followers accomplish this)
They live-24/7-365 to do the Fathers will( Matt 7:21)
No they were not one religion, they were one nation that was divided.
The Israelites had a religion, it was the lifestyle-24/7, 365 when they stood strong, they fell over and over.
Jesus attended the synagogues and temples of that religion. 0 doubt.

well, you associate that with religion, where i see it as addressing the possible states of the Church, not the churches. "To the church at Philadelphia" then becomes "To those who do what they did in Philadelphia" whatever that is; a certain shortcoming, as described in the text.

here i would agree with you, in holding with the definition of religion as "man's attempts to reach God," which is what they had made of their life--not what God wanted them to do; which is why Christ condemned their way, because it had become a religion.
