Ignoring truth shows a lack of love for God, His son and neighbor. One of Jesus' goals on earth was to open peoples eyes to the truth, not leave them blinded. It isn't spirit alone, it is spirit and truth.

Yep people try to focus on one aspect and strain out the rest and ..................... swallow the teachings of men who reject the Bible. Blind guides because they are not understanding and don't want to.

You refuse to learn the main point of the existence and teachings of Christ - agape love - and stay mired in the ancient ignorance of words "written in ink"and stone. You spout verses thinking in them you will find salvation but completely miss the one they point to and His main message and unambiguous demonstration of the true nature of God. You are blind guides because you completely miss the point "written in our hearts" by God and blindly flounder among the words.

Amen, nate! They haven't a clue who our God IS or what He wants from us. Sad, very sad!

You ever think about the fact blind is the absence of vision, and He said HIS PEOPLE perish without a vision? I'm thinking the vision begins with the one Peter had shown to him by the Father, when he, like Paul, realized the one speaking to him was the light, and no flesh and blood man. And upon THIS ROCK, He will build His church. Thy WORD is a lamp unto my feet, yet we see people still stumbling in the darkness (means ignorance of Him and His ways) and proclaiming they have the light of the gospel. Peace

How do you know it's the Spirit talking to you or if it was a bad burrito?

If they end up thinking like you, it was a really bad burrito.

Bad burritos rarely conferm to the characteristics of the Spirit as demonstrated by Jesus and noted by Paul as well as confirmed by that Spirit. If I tell you this 140 more times will it sink in?

They ignore truth and love. It is both, as love can only be based on truth.

I'm hoping someday Viz has his own encounter with the Spirit that will be so life-changing he'll stop having to repeat that silly question.
