Okay, so you are saying that you DO desire the crucifixion of others who disagree with you? That is sad.
I'm sorry that you feel that way, and if you have that "pack" mentality and assume others do too, I can understand why you take such offense at being disagreed with. But not all of us are like that. Two or more people questioning the veracity of something someone says does not equate to them wanting to see someone "crucified", or to animal behavior.
Age, do you seriously think it's impossible to disagree with someone without wanting to harm them in some way?
My God! You're like a dog with a bone aren't you? All I was pointing out was that a thumbs up is the proverbial 'you hold 'em, I'll hit 'em'. It adds nothing, other than a "get in lads". It's really not complicated.
Everything else comes across as your projection. Which is odd - I had you as one of those peaceful Agape types...?

You didn't say it adds nothing. You equated it to a desire to crucify. (What do you think that added to the discussion?) Significant difference, wouldn't you say?

More zings, Age? Is "agape" not something you desire to exhibit as well?
I can hear the crowd now. Come on, let's join in with the ignorant savages!
"crucify him"
no, its more like "defend yourself" the literalist are coming. remember, its the literalist that crucify people that use commonsense and observation over the letter of the law. we see it all over the news.

It's your Penal Substitution theory that be damned. And the ideologies of Eternal punishment.
If I save my dog from being hit by a car? I don't then turn around, and throw him into the street.
I don't think Jesus threw us into the street, but rather encourages us to preach in the street The issue with sin can be wrapped up in the most simplest terms. Sin is rooted in unbelief. We don't believe we are risen with Christ, a new creation, pure, clean, without sin, with patience, forbearance, and the likes. etc., but instead, we often seek out the world and the satisfaction within it to replace what God can only provide.
Good to see you!
