Anyone who is familiar with the Bible should know that if he owns something he doesn't need, he should give it to those who don't have it. That would include money.
So, are you following this commandment? Do your money and possessions just barely sustain you?
If people were not dying from poverty and lack of healthcare, I would not despise the filthy rich. It's not that I envy their financial status. It is that the truth is, the vast portion of the wealth has gone to the top (less than 1%) and that is unjust. Many at the top have profited from slave labor. That is oppression of God's people.
Despising those who possess wealth will do nothing for you or for those in poverty. Nothing.
A lot of those who are wealthy, worked for it and made good business decisions. Again, they also contribute far more than most to the economy and to charity. All of those who demonize those who have money, just really do not see the big picture. Sorry we will have to just agree to disagree on this point.

If I had millions, I would not possess much, save a small cabin on a bit of land, and would probably end up a philanthropist. But that is MY decision to make. Not someone else's decision to make for me and shame me into doing it.
