So, are you following this commandment? Do your money and possessions just barely sustain you?
Yes, I own things I don't need. What about you?

Despising those who possess wealth will do nothing for you or for those in poverty. Nothing.

A lot of those who are wealthy, worked for it and made good business decisions. Again, they also contribute far more than most to the economy and to charity. All of those who demonize those who have money, just really do not see the big picture. Sorry we will have to just agree to disagree on this point.

We are all accountable for our lives and our actions.

It's much easier to stand on a pedestal and blame an easy target, than it is to look at ourselves in the mirror and do something productive.

If I had millions, I would not possess much, save a small cabin on a bit of land, and would probably end up a philanthropist. But that is MY decision to make. Not someone else's decision to make for me and shame me into doing it.

Just saying.

The responses here are sickening. You sound like the people that the prophets and Jesus were always condemning. But you are so blind spiritually that you wouldn't recognize your own hand in front of your face.

I'm not impressed with anyone who "earns" their wealth. All it means is that they are driven to accumulate wealth.

You are denying the New Testament commandments. The problem is that many evangelicals are extremely materialistic. And by the way you answer I would guess that you are as well because you sound as if you have no shame in what you own that you don't need.

No, I am not as materialistic as the typical evangelical Christian is. To answer your question.

How is it fair for you to have more than your neighbor who is in need?

So you don't own anything you don't need? Congrats.

Make the horse as tall as you want. It doesn't matter, because no one can ever approach the arrogance of an evangelical Christian. They think they are in a special club with God.
