Agreed. My church believes freedom in Christ means free from the penalty of sin (salvation), power of sin (sanctification), presence of sin (glorification).

Maybe I misread what Rbbi said to you, but I thought he told you that was offensive to him.

It was Paul who said that all things are lawful to me, not all things are beneficial. Freedom takes consequences into account, but NOT phantom consequences from peoples prejudices.
