To address Troop’s defending blog
I must confess one’s history, dog
He’s called us to abandon flesh
And all our remains to Him must mesh

Yes Masturbation is a sin
Self sex is a form of sexual sin. It is a form of sexual sin because a person is misusing his or her sexual organ which God created to be used in the marriage relationship. Thus, when a person commits this sinful act, that person is involved in self-centered lust. Either that person is going to be thinking about a person he wants to have sex with or watch some type of porn to help stimulate him or herself. All of us who are guilty of this sin, clearly know what I mean.
Looking at it this way, does masturbation prepare you for sex with your spouse? No, it, actually, hampers your ability to satisfy your spouse in sexual intimacy. All masturbation does is force one to think that his or her spouse has to do all of those sex acts in order for to be satisfied. Unfortunately, masaturbation poisions a person's thoughts because he or she has to mentally think on sensual things in order to become aroused.
With all of that said, we live in a sex craved society. Us men especially are bombarded with tv ads, billboards, women who deliberately dress provocative to get our attention. Paul in 1 Corinthians 6:18 says, "flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexualy immoral person sins against his own body."

Depends.
What is worse?
The 1% who actually admit to this, or the 99% who lie?
I know what the bible says about lying, so who has the greater sin.
To be made to feel as though a part of your body is a sick disgusting thing, only to be enjoyed by your spouse is carrying a persons thoughts and feelings a little too far. I made it past page 3, and as soon as I saw the Catholics position on it, I then was not impressed. No wonder there is a homosexual pedophile crisis in that church. Maybe if they would acknowledge that it is not a sin, unless you lusted, then those tendacies would never be manifested.
Also, what about the spouse who doesn't "put out"? Now the husband, or wife, who has a sexual drive, that cannot get satisfied at home, will start wandering around looking for this satisfaction. Then the marriage will end up broken, as now multiple sins have occurred. Lust, Adultry, Lying?? And this even if they NEVER EVEN TOUCHED THEM. It gets worse if they do.
So back to the OP. Does it feel like a sin? Is it the "right" thing to do?
Jam 4:17
Therefore, to one who knows right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin.

It is a form of sin to play piano with your toes, because a person is misusing his or her toes that were clearly created by God to be used for balance while walking.

It would be a sin if you were having sexual lusts

Neither is worse as they are both sins, and God views them the same.
I'm not sure why anyone would 'admit' to this as it's not something someone would be forthcoming with.
I also dont know of anyone who goes around asking everyone if they do this....then the person lies, and says 'no'.

Yes, well, too bad the Bible does not say so.
Maybe combing your hair should be a sin too?
Just like with MB, God never says that it is a sin, but so long as we can make-up new sins as we feel like doing, we might as well.
All those in favour of making combing a sin raise your hands!
And hey, combing does nothing toward procreation.
It is commonly done with a very toward making yourself look more attractive to the opposite sex. So it could be connected to coveting.
And there is a slight Biblical connection in one passage, where you could possibly support combing as a sin!

sorry....lasciviousness is a sin....so is adultery and fornication.
Jesus taught if you LUST IN YOUR HEART then you have already committed sin.
So question is....who do you know that does this and does NOT lust in their heart?

wow dead people masturbate lol
pornography is a sin for these reasons
1. You're lusting (fornicating/adultery/lasciviousness)
2. It's unclean
3. it can and will lead to addiction
basically, the same reasons as the topic
