For some believers, legalization is the only hurdle to recreational use (because they know they are no longer under the law of Moses).

Before we go any further, do we have any believers from the states with recreational use (Colorado, California, Massachusetts, Maine, Nevada, Alaska, Oregon, Washington & D.C)?

How do you feel about society's acceptance, and does it open the door or is it not a issue? How about your church - what's the message from the pulpit?

Elmer, why do you quote the law of Moses in this thing even when you are wrong?

The law of Moses is going to judge EVERY MURDERER, and EVERY LIAR, and NO MATTER HOW MUCH you want to take away right and wrong, right is still gonna be right, and wrong is still going to be wrong.

The sacrifice of Jesus was for sins that you accidently committed unaware, the Holy spirit comes to help you not sin that you could be tested beyond measure, the Holy spirit is supposed to give you strength not to break the laws of Moses because the laws of Moses only teach love, if you have kept the laws of Moses, then you have loved your neighbor as you would love yourself and this is explained.

You think because Jesus came that we can go out there and molest children and kill anyone we want and all we have to do is say,'' Jesus?''

God is merciful and maybe there is some type of forgiveness but with most evil people I see, I just see dirt. If there is hope for them, there is only hope in the outer court of darkness, and this outer court of Gentiles will restrict everyone in it against entering the city of God.

But what does the laws of Moses have to do with smoking pot whether it is a sin or not?

Freedom from the law... Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to all that believe. (Romans 10:4)

Basically it would not different to alcohol , as alcohol attracts the demon spirit so too will marijuana , where Christians are called to get the demons spirit to flee , never to attract them to the temple of the Holy Spirit .... See this is more acceptance of abuse for people from the liberal agenda which is the rejection of justice

You make valid points hljc, though there is mounting evidence of the benefits of marijuana. There's even receptors in the human brain that process THC.

That's all they do...why did God create man with these?

Jesus said that he DID NOT COME TO ABOLISH THE LAW ELMER, if you are following a Jesus who did away with the law, then you are following an anti-Christ who is lawless, and who is a false prophet.

Jesus Fulfills the Law

Matthew 5
17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Yet another person who directly defies what Jesus says, people can't seem to talk about anything at all without lobbing disrespect at the commandments of God making FALSE CLAIMS, that DIRECTLY CONTRADICT WHAT JESUS SAID, and what Jesus CAME TO DO.

How do you get to the point of claiming something that directly contradict Jesus?

You think you found some place where Paul is teaching Jews not to keep the laws of Moses?

Then you need to put those letters away from you because if Paul came teaching lawlessness, he is a false prophet deserving of detah but Paul proved his innocence against people like you who claim he was teaching the end of the law when he was doing NO SUCH THING.

Paul's Arrival at Jerusalem ~ Acts 21

17And when we were come to Jerusalem, the brethren received us gladly. 18And the day following Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present. 19And when he had saluted them, he declared particularly what things God had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry. 20And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said unto him, Thou seest, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they are all zealous of the law: 21And they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs. 22What is it therefore? the multitude must needs come together: for they will hear that thou art come. 23Do therefore this that we say to thee: We have four men which have a vow on them; 24Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.

BECAUSE of liars trying to get Paul killed just like they killed Stephen, LIARS CAME TELLING THE SAME LIES AGAINST PAUL AND PAUL HAD TO MAKE SACRIFICES IN ORDER TO PROVE THOSE LIARS TO BE LIARS.

THIS IS PAUL ABOUT TO DO FROM LIES AND RUMORS BEING SPREAD ABOUT HIM THAT SAID HE WAS TEACHING JEWS NOT TO KEEP THE TORAH AND SPEAKING AGAINST JERUSALEM.

PAUL WAS ABOUT TO DIE ON TRIAL.
PAUL WAS ABOUT TO DIE FROM THE LIES BEING SPREAD.
PAUL WAS BROUGHT INTO COURT TO STAND IN FRONT OF THE GREAT PRIESTS OF JUDAISM AND HE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO ACCEPT THEIR AUTHORITY BUT HE DID.

PAUL WAS ABOUT TO BE KILLED FOR THE LIES OF LAWLESSNESS TOLD ABOUT HIM.

PAUL WAS ABOUT TO BE KILLED BECAUSE LIARS TOLD LIES SAYING THAT PAUL WAS TEACHING JEWS NOT TO KEEP THE LAWS OF MOSES.

AGAIN, PAUL WAS ABOUT TO BE KILLED BECAUSE LIARS WENT TELLING LIES AGAINST HIM THAT HE WAS TEACHING JEWS NOT TO KEEP THE LAWS OF MOSES.

WHICH IS IT?

EITHER PAUL IS A TWO FACED LIAR WHO LIED AND PRETENDED TO STILL BE KEEPING THE LAW, OR YOU HAVE IT BACKWARDS, AND PAUL NEVER TAUGHT ANYONE THAT THE LAW HAD BEEN ABOLISHED.

PAUL WAS ABOUT TO DIE BECAUSE OF LIARS TELLING A LIE THAT HE WAS TEACHING JEWS NOT TO KEEP THE LAWS OF MOSES AND PAUL WENT WAY OUT OF HIS WAY IN ORDER TO PROVE THOSE LIARS WERE LIARS AND THAT HE NEVER TAUGHT JEWS NOT TO KEEP THE LAWS OF MOSES.

ARE YOU TRYING TO PROVE THAT JESUS WAS A FLASE PROPHET WHO LED THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL AGAINST THE LAWS OF MOSES AND THAT PAUL WAS A TWO FACED LIAR WHO WAS ALSO A FALSE PROPHET DESERVING DEATH BECAUSE HE TAUGHT JEWS THAT THE LAW HAD ENDED AND NOW WAS ABOLISHED?

YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.

BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF IF NOT TO EVERYONE ELSE.

WAS PAUL A TWO FACED LIAR WHO SAID ONE THING AND DID ANOTHER IN ORDER TO SAVE HIS OWN SKIN?

ACTS 21 SAYS TENS OF THOUSANDS OF JEWS BELIEVED IN JESUS AND EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM BECAME EVEN MORE ZEALOUS TO KEEP THE LAWS OF MOSES, AND SO ARE YOU SHOWING A PAUL DIFFERENT FROM THOSE TENS OF THOUSANDS OF JEWISH BELIEVERS WHO BECAME EVEN MORE ZEALOUS TO KEEP THE LAWS OF MOSES?

ARE YOU SHOWING A DIFFERENT JESUS WHO CAME TEACHING AGAINST THE LAWS OF MOSES WHEN JESUS HIMSELF SAID THAT HE DIDN'T COME TO ABOLISH THE LAW AND IN FACT, EVERYONE WHO KEEPS THE LAWS OF MOSES AND TEACHES OTHERS TOO KEEP THE LAWS OF MOSES WILL BE THE GREATEST IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN?

WHERE DO YOU PEOPLE COME UP WITH THIS STUFF THAT DIRECTLY CONTRADICTS EVERYTHING JESUS SAID AND EVERYTHING PAUL SAID?

IF YOU ARE CONFUSED ABOUT WHAT PAUL SAID, RIP HIS WORDS FROM THE BOOK, BECAUSE IF PAUL SAID ANYTHING THAT CONTRADICTED JESUS, HE IS WORTHLESS, AND IF HE IS A TWO FACED COWARD, HE IS WORTHLESS.

PAUL'S LETTERS DO NOT STAND NEXT TO THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS, THEY ARE LETTERS.

Legalization of Marijuana (from a Christian's perspective)?

Use things in moderation, love others, and harm no one - if given the choice.

Everyone who loves and walks in the laws of Moses fulfills the laws of Moses Elmer, Fulfill doesn't mean ''Ended,''

You think Jesus said that he didn't come to abolish the law or to end the law but to fulfill it, MEANS THAT HE CAME TO ABOLISH AND END THE LAW?

He just said it TWICE, he did not come to end it, and it's not as if you can get this wrong Elmer BECAUSE HE CONTINUES SAYING,'' Whoever keeps the laws of Moses and teaches others to keep the laws of Moses will be the greatest in the kingdom of Heaven,''. If it was righteous then, it doesn't stop being righteous but we don't have to wonder, Jesus tells us FLAT OUT Elmer, if you keep the laws of Moses and you teach others to keep it, YOU WILL BE GREAT.

STILL, Jesus doesn't even stop there, he tells you that you had better well listen to the priests in Judaism, and YOU HAD BETTER KEEP THE LAWS BETTER THAN THE PHARISEES AND SCRIBES, HE SURE DIDN'T TELL US TO NOT KEEP HIS OWN LAW, HE TOLD US THAT WE BETTER KEEP THE LAW BETTER THAN EVEN THE PHARISEES WERE KEEPING IT.

Elmer, the entire page is Jesus telling you that whoever keeps the laws of Moses will be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven, and it is ok if you don't want to keep the laws of Moses, and it is even ok if you teach others not to keep the laws of Moses because there is still salvation in the least of the kingdom of heaven and that's what people set their goal to, they want to be the least in the kingdom of heaven because Jesus promised them they could choose that path.

But whoever will be great in the kingdom, let him love the law, let the law be on his lips day and night and let him spread the love of Torah daily.

HE SHALL BE GREAT, in his own kingdom.
