My friend emailed me this link on Oprah's website. We should write Oprah and ask that woman why she allows people to believe that "WE are the means of salvation that God offers the world". Truly sacreligious!!!!
You are indeed the light of the world with such a function. The Son of God looks to you for his redemption. It is yours to give him, for it belongs to you. Accept no trivial purpose or meaningless desire in its place, or you will forget your function and leave the Son of God in hell.

Not to disagree with your intent, but rather just to punish you for your "grammar"........ How can she prevent people from believing such dribble? Why would we hold her responsible for their lunacy? They did not ask her permission to believe this did they? She did not actually allow it as you say.
I know you really mean we should chastize her for promoting their beliefs or for granting credibility to such garbage, but that is not what you actually "said".
isn't it just a way of saying we are all as individuals ways for God to work through us, living in peace, spreading love, and having God shine into the world through us, through the lives we live? Isn't the best advertisement for God the way we live our own lives? God works through people all the time. When I see myself as a way for God to work through, then I am able to step aside and truly say and mean and live, Thy will be done not mine.
I understand where you are coming from Raja, and I do agree. But we are not working for Jesus' redemption. We are working for our own. If I don't live the way I should, then it's my soul in jeopardy, not Jesus.
When did Oprah become "Pastor Oprah". This is strange that a talk show host would start presenting herself as SPIRITUAL ADVISER. Maybe, this is her next adventure when she retires from television.
i am not a tv fan of anything or anyone but i have to applaud her for being able to get a spiritual message into maintstream TV America. If she can get people paying attention to their spiritual life, I'd say that's an oasis that is much needed in both TV and American culture across the board. I don't know of many other respected public figures who can get a message like that across.
