500 yrs ago the core Reformation message addressed the question: what is the true Christian faith based on ?

1)Solo Gratia - Grace alone
  • Salvation comes by divine grace - not via something we something merit \ prove ourselves worthy of \ Jesus being some kind of example to follow
  • Grace is something God is the only participant otherwise it is not grace
  • Grace is always without our corporation in salvation
2) Solo Scriptura - Scripture alone
  • The Bible alone is the inspired and authoritative Word of God
  • The Bible is the only source for Christian doctrine
  • The Bible requires no interpretation sources outside itself
  • The Bible does not stand alone apart from God, but that it is the only instrument of God by which he reveals himself for salvation through faith in Christ
  • Will always be accessible
3) Solo Fide - Faith alone
  • Justification (being declared righteous \ perfect \ holy) is received by faith only, without the need for works.
  • Faith is not a human response but the work of God through the means of grace (Scripture & Sacraments)
  • Faith that comes from God is through the law and gospel, Scripture and sacraments.
4) Solus Christus \ Solo Christo - Christ alone
  • Christ is the only mediator between God and human
  • Salvation is through Christ alone and no one else \ or any church organization that makes themselves necessary for salvation or "life with God"
5) - Soli Deo Gloria - glory to God alone
  • All glory is to be given to God alone
  • Salvation is done solely through God's will and action
  • The gift of faith created in the heart of believers is done first by the Holy Spirit (third person of the Deity aka Trinity)

It is these core doctrines of the Christian faith that life with God \ salvation rests upon.
"When our Lord and Master Jesus Christ said, 'Repent' (Matthew 4:17), He [Jesus] willed the
entire life of believers to be one of repentance ... and thus be confident of entering heaven
through many tribulations rather than through the false security of peace"
~ Luther

Greetings. Can you provide Scriptural references that support claims 2 (sola scriptura) and 3 (sola fide)?

Still Catholic, still anti-God's laws, still pagan, still following Catholic law, still anti-Messiah and his feasts, and the words of the father of this reformation was used by Hitler against the people who loved the commandments of God. Still the same old Anti-Semitic, Anti-law, anti- religion of God where you convert to a religion and you take on the holy days and traditions of another god and you just call them by the name of Jesus, and you say and claim that all the pagan holy days and traditions teach a Jewish Messiah when they don't.

Catholic reformed is still Catholic, and as a Protestant follows what is wholly Catholic law, he just proves that his authority is still Catholic. Catholic has it's own laws, it's own holy days and worship system that is separated and apart from God's worship system, and by keeping what Catholic gave you over the bible is to prove that you are still under Catholic authority.

Yes I can. There are more than just one for each but these are enough:
Solo Scriptura - Scripture alone
2 Timothy 3:15
and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures,
which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

John 20:31
But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah,
the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

3) Solo Fide - Faith alone
2 Timothy 3:15
and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures,
which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

Romans 3:28
For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.

John 20:31
But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah,
the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

John 6:28-29
Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works* God requires?"
Jesus answered, “The work* of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

note* they asked in the plural (works), Jesus answered in the singular (work) Solo Fide .... 'to believe'.
