Joseph had two sons, and Ephraim who was his second born son became ruler over Israel and so Israel came under the name of Ephraim.

BTW....I have a different take on" taking on the flesh" of Esau. He was right to do what he did, he took on the image of sinful flesh but there was no sin, BECAUSE his mother remembered the promise and he listened to her which went against tradition. I just watched a few prophetic words recorded on , a compilation of words given by others.. the video about the two huge hurricane , then 2 huge earthquakes coming on each coast.. even from 9 and I think they said 12 richter (sp?) scale. then they talked about the third event that Jesus wouldn't even describe for them . but they all agreed it was awful event coming after the two earth quakes..
