While I'm sure your heart is in the right place, Halloween is what you make of it. While some people, such as Wiccans may attach a religious meaning to the holiday, to most people it is simply a time to dress up in costumes and party, and for children to 'trick or treat,' and is harmless. Children going house to house and getting candy are not worshiping Satan or seeking fellowship with the powers of evil.

Christians, it is these types of behaviour and this intolerance for other beliefs not your belief in God and Jesus that causes much of the push back against you. An atheist standing on the sidewalk with a bull horn outside a church screaming the evils of your religion would be just as inappropriate as this jerk. Trying to spoil the event for both children and their parents based on the origin of the event is from a different religion is religious intolerance. I know some churches have children events that night as an alternative to Trick or Treat and as silly as this whole Halloween is evil sounds these church events are for the kids and is not out attacking other kids in public. There were probably many good and upstanding Christians on that street with their children and being accused in front of their kids of being drunks and adulterous and evil with no regard to how it might affect those kids. Not only intolerant but very insensitive and throwing false accusations upon adults doing nothing unusual or illegal.
Kids from all religions or of not at all are welcomed at our door that night. Love seeing kids being kids and playing dressing up and having fun.
Actually, I agree that it was inappropriate for this street preacher to be out there ruining a peaceful night of trick or treating and going on about the evils of smoking cigarettes, getting drunk, and looking at porn (right at the beginning of the video). As the person said at 1:31, he wasn't doing any good, and no one was listening. That was just as annoying as street preachers going to the beach and preaching to the beach goer's who are just trying to have a good time in the sun and sand and water.
Day of the Dead is an interesting holiday celebrated in central and southern Mexico during the chilly days of November 1 & 2. Even though this coincides with the Catholic holiday called All Soul's & All Saint’s Day, the indigenous people have combined this with their own ancient beliefs of honoring their deceased loved ones.
They believe that the gates of heaven are opened at midnight on October 31, and the spirits of all deceased children (angelitos) are allowed to reunite with their families for 24 hours. On November 2, the spirits of the adults come down to enjoy the festivities that are prepared for them.
In most Indian villages, beautiful altars (ofrendas) are made in each home. They are decorated with candles, buckets of flowers (wild marigolds called cempasuchil & bright red ****'s combs) mounds of fruit, peanuts, plates of turkey mole, stacks of tortillas and big Day-of-the-Dead breads called pan de muerto. The altar needs to have lots of food, bottles of soda, hot cocoa and water for the weary spirits. Toys and candies are left for the angelitos, and on Nov. 2, cigarettes and shots of mezcal are offered to the adult spirits. Little folk art skeletons and sugar skulls, purchased at open-air markets, provide the final touches.
Now I don't see anything in the Bible about doing this, but I do find several admonitions against necromancy, and preparing altars for the dead or other gods. Peace
I got to see a Day of the Dead in New Mexico one year.

Right. It is absolutely what you make of it. If people are looking for evil, they can find it in the most innocent things.
Can you picture God's Son (aka Jesus) at a dress-up party wearing a devil's outfit or a devil's costume for any reason.
P.S. Jesus never taught burning for eternity but taught resurrection - Revelation 1:18.
Can you imagine him golfing? Or surfing, watching TV or restoring classic cars and yet none of those activities are considered evil. Or being a kid racing BMX bikes, at a science fair playing tag or any other kids activity?
What about the vast majority who do not dress up as a devil? What I cannot see him doing according to your Bible is accusing adults of being drunks or doing drugs without having any knowledge of the truth of the matter or with their kids hearing these accusations. I wonder would he go to the beach to disturb people from a day of relaxation by yelling at them that by relaxing they were doing wrong . Wouldn't he be more likely bothering some of these radio and TV preachers who are spreading fear and hatred?

Great post, badlander. Very good post.
According to Opie, and a few others, since I help out with the Halloween party at our church, I and the rest of the congregation of my church (and the congregation of the Nazarene church across the street) have fallen to the dark side.

TV preachers fit the category of the MANY proving false as found at Matthew 7:21-23.
Relaxing was allowed under the Constitution of the Mosaic Law so I don't understand your statement.
If Jesus was alive today why Not surf, or golf just would Not be involved in dangerous sports.
I find Jesus' first miracle was turning water into wine. Wine was served at the Passover observance.
We can Not read people's hearts but Jesus can and will according to Isaiah 11:3-4; Revelation 19:14-16.
That is the purpose for getting rid of the wilfully wicked at the soon coming time of separation on Earth as found at Matthew 25:31-33,37. - Psalm 92:7; Proverbs 2:21-22.
Many earthly holidays or celebrations have non-biblical roots honoring the creation. ( Wicked Satan is a creation )
