Anyone up for a shot of hypocrisy and fake outrage to get the day started? Let us celebrate, the day of tribalism has arrived.
Sorry, I'm working--for my Muslim employers, whom I'm sure you've got on the Hellbound List already.
Just wanted to point out that there's no hypocrisy in pointing out that some fundies do seem very excited about being "elect" while others toast. It's not as if I made that up OR as if I'm heavenbound and you aren't. THat would be hypocrisy. I know I'm not authorized to make that decision.
For the umpteenth time, love IS the nature of God, and so all other attributes of God flow from that foundation. Otherwise, you are saying that the love of God is at war with the rest of what God is; a house divided cannot stand.

Except that it is NOT. God is also holy, just, righteous and wrathful. They're attributes.
Not according to the "God is love" folks. Is love an attribute? Or is it his nature? Because if there is NOTHING else that he is, then he can't be fair and merciful, as well.

Or on the internet by guys who name themselves after fish?
No, they're honest. You can believe them. It's easy to tell when somebody is lying. They preface a lot of their statements by saying: "Honestly," or "In all honesty" or "To tell you the truth."
There was a fake preacher here for several years who did it all the time. It was amusing.
