Not that God and spiritual things are always logical by human standards, but to Pleroo's point, the whole premise is that God is love. If I, a mere person who isn't always particularly loving to everyone in the world, at least not inside my head, would not send anyone to some form of eternal torment, how could God?

You are fooling yourself. God gave his only son for you. I doubt you, or anyone, would be able to match His level of love and mercy, let alone better it.

Why do you return His love with such resentment?

True, it's very hard for many humans, with our propensity towards vengeance and tribalism, to understand the "logic" of a God who loves unconditionally and without exclusion.

The mindset is....Because the sinner gets what they fully deserve..... God giving them what they deserve is done in love. So that is how they love a being like this, their understanding of love is screwed up.

It is gibberish to those who are perishing. Out souls are eternal, so either you will be with God for eternity, or you will be separated from Him. The Bible teaches that those who reject Him will be separated. You reject His truth and at the same time you demand to be with God anyway. It does not even make any sense.

"And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt."

It's the bible that makes no sense.

This is a false question. Is it cruel for a judge to send a family man to prison because he commited murder? Do not judges also have families that love him?

God says do not rest on your own understanding but place your trust in Him. But many have not put their complete faith in Him. They created a god to suit their own perception how THEY feel things should be. And, that circles all the way the back to the beginning with Adam and Eve’s disobedience.

Do not take rejection of God’s will lightly. Remember what happened in Eden.

They put God on trial, and ruled that He is a monster, and at the same time they demand to be with Him for eternity.

Somehow it makes perfect sense to them

Finn, you're continuing to beat a dead horse. There is NO literal hell where millions will be roasted for all eternity. This heinous (mis)interpretation of certain passages of scripture is purely man-made and it needs to be nipped in the bud right now. You have the opportunity to make right this appalling teaching by the mainstream Christian Church, even if it should go against the beliefs of your particular denomination.

Even the fundies are more merciful than the fundamentalist god. You can reason them to some degree, not so with the fundy god. Believe or go to hell(it sounds so loving don't you think?).
