The Bible mentions Hell, and it was written 2000 years ago.
The Pope said there is no Hell currently.
Therefore, Hell must have disappeared sometime between 2000 years ago and now. When did this happen?
And what happened to all the sinners, blasphemers and Atheist who were already in Hell?
Matt. 7:21-23. 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
The Bible. Written over 2000 years ago. Written in a way the uneducated, common people would understand. Therefore parables and imagery were used to make a point. Anyone who takes the Bible literally is a fool.
I love the Bible. I subscribe to it’s teachings. It is a tremendous source of enlightenment, humility, wisdom and love. But read it for its message, it’s intention. Use it a a guide for your own spirituality. Just understand HOW it was written.
Hell is merely a covered over or concealed place like the grave. Although, there are some who believe that potatoes buried in the ground, basement or cellar were born to be french fries.
