Is Shaving a sin? Yes, of course God hates shaving and all who do it will burn in hell. Also, Jesus hated figs. He cursed a fig tree. So don't eat them.

I personally only shave my neck (not to look like a neckbeard), and little bits of my cheeks to make my stubble symmetric. I also keep the rest of my facial hair short (but not cleanly shaven). Am I a sinner?

Yes if you had the Spirit of God you would discern God's will on this.

Given the almost infinite things we humans are capable of doing or not doing, focusing on those things instead of our state of mind while doing them is just silly. It is our state of mind that matters, NOT what we do or do not do. We sin (err, miss the mark) when we do NOT act out of love and consideration for everyone involved or affected by what we do or do not do.

How am I supposed to know what comes from faith? Do computers and washing machines come from faith? Are they sin?

In themselves, no, but what I am thinking of doing with your computer right now is.

Definitely a sin but waxing is worse .....But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 2 Tim 3:13. Either that or evil men and seducers are not very good at waxing.

By their beards you shall know them.
