the fundamental Christian strives to live their life according to the Word of God (and that means the teachings of Jesus Christ also) while the liberal Christian seeks to live their life according to the parts of the Word of God they believe in with a healthy dose of the influences of the world or what society dictates thrown into the mix. 1 Timothy 41-2: "now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron"; and 2 Timothy 4 3-5: "for the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. but watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry." 1 Peter 3:15 "but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect," this is the way to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. if the people want to listen, i will share what i know; if they do not, then i bless them and walk away.
Honestly, yes. Some absolutely do not want you to burn. That's why they call your attention to certain issues.
Yep, the tactic is God loves you, but you are sinful, deserving of being punished eternally in eternal fire, the only way of escape from the fear and consequences of it is believe in Jesus. Is that a fair description of the message(i refuse to call it good news) of bible fundamentalists?.

IRL, Bible fundamentalist are as rare as hen's teeth. Jesus is a liberal alternative...I've had a (non-practicing)fundamentalist tell me no man can hold to all the Laws of the O.T.
Is a Christian fundamentalist synonymous with a Christian who believes the Bible is the word of God?
On this forum, yes. To the universalists, the Bible is nothing but writings of a bunch of ignorant savages (direct quote), and it teaches dangerous / harmful things.

Misrepresenting posters again. Anything that contradicts the teachings of Jesus Christ whether by belief and action is not God breathed as you call it. So anything centered around destroying folk is not of God, because tested in the light of Jesus' teaching, it fails the test, because he taught he did not come to steal, kill and destroy.
