That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow (ina en twi onomati Ihsou pan gonu kampsh). First aorist active subjunctive of kamptw, old verb, to bend, to bow, in purpose clause with ina. Not perfunctory genuflections whenever the name of Jesus is mentioned, but universal acknowledgment of the majesty and power of Jesus who carries his human name and nature to heaven. This universal homage to Jesus is seen in Romans 8:22 ; Ephesians 1:20-22 and in particular Revelation 5:13 . Under the earth (katacqoniwn). Homeric adjective for departed souls, subterranean, simply the dead. Here only in the N.T.
Biased are we with Mr. A.T.

That passage is referring to believers not unbelievers. They are going before the judgement seat for reward. Brothers and sisters should have given you a clue along with the context. Jeez! Furthermore, Isaiah has a completely different tone - where the enemy of Israel is cowering before the LORD.

You just don't know anything about context do you.

My friend, just leave it "don't know anything" for illiterate Rose. In regards to the old Baptist, A.T. Robertson, who taught koine at graduate level for 47 years...well friend, Rose will leave it there for the moment. I will lay a bet on the life of my old partner you can hardly wait for his understanding of Rev. 5.13.... Available upon request eh.

The passage in I Cor. is talking about ALL THOSE IN CHRIST not every single person.

You should avail yourself of what Paul said in Eph.1 where he clearly talks about this resurrection for those IN CHRIST. The only way you are in Christ is via faith.

Also, you need to avail yourself of what John said in 5:28-29 - all will be resurrected, even those not in Christ - those will be resurrected to damnation.

Do not be amazed at this, because a time is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and will come out – the ones who have done what is good to the resurrection resulting in life, and the ones who have done what is evil to the resurrection resulting in condemnation.

But you go ahead and continue to rip the context apart and wallow in your desires
If you are going to dole-out-justice, then the punishment should fit the crime.
So, how do you measure justice if you condemn a finite life to eternal damnation?

Rose, why wait, just do it! Free at last, free at last!

"every created thing (pan ktisma). Every creature in a still wider antiphonal circle beyond the circle of angels (from ktizw, for which see 1 Timothy 4:4 ; James 1:18 ), from all the four great fields of life (in heaven, upon the earth, under the earth as in verse James 3 , with on the sea epi th qalassh added). No created thing is left out. This universal chorus of praise to Christ from all created life reminds one of the profound mystical passage in Romans 8:20-22 concerning the sympathetic agony of creation (ktisi) in hope of freedom from the bondage of corruption. If the trail of the serpent is on all creation, it will be ultimately thrown off. Saying (legonta). Masculine (construction according to sense, personifying the created things) if genuine, though some MSS. have legonta (grammatical gender agreeing with panta) present active participle of legw, to say. And to the Lamb (kai twi arniwi). Dative case. Praise and worship are rendered to the Lamb precisely as to God on the throne. Note separate articles here in the doxology as in Romans 4:11 and the addition of to krato (active power) in place of iscu (reserve of strength) in Romans 5:12 ."

Churches which preach the Gospel.

I don't know what the other poster is claiming though, because I never heard anyone talk about people "coming to the church", but rather coming to Christ.

The gospel of the scriptures or the evangelical message that took what Jesus taught then added to it a doctrine that not even the devil could dream up?.

That's not my problem! If you have a problem with what Paul, Peter, or John is teaching take it up with them. Just because you don't like what is they are saying or find some issue with it or some injustice does not mean you get to mutilate the text. Your desires or wishes of what the text means is of no value.

Amen, Shiloh!

Romans 16:18 (NASB)
For such men are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech, they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting.

There is such a deep self-centeredness with those believing this teaching, UR.
They have become so deeply brainwash and slaves to their emotions, in this case, fear and turned to their theory, interpretations of what Jesus taught to escape the reality of hell.

So they event these false truths to create a false sense of security and it then satisfies their appetites for a false peace so that they may live with the mental anguish of their fear of hell.

The longer and deeper of the brainwashing it creates a trap emotionally in them. They then become so in bondage to their fear which they don't even realize this so, they have to keep themselves immerse into this false teaching in order to survive emotionally which will only result in them going further and further away from God and hearing Him and His truth.

It becomes an awful cycle. It truly is sad indeed.

Very well thought out. Thank you, Cyber!
