To knock, ask and seek one must do it as God has instructed.
It is not meant in the literal sense. Otherwise any form of religion could enter. Not so.
It is possible to find and not even know how it came about but in time you realize that you stumbled upon a secret.
In the end you see that to believe is an action not a thought.
Interesting perspective for me to read.
Only cuz mine is different.
I would say a child, a native of a remote African tribe, say, can knock on the inner door to God (or to peace or
Heaven or Divine Insight, by whatever label). No instructions necessary!
I do think it is literal...you sit inside in stillness and knock and wait...emptying your cup; any religion of the person
is fine...as Jerwade quoted..'God looks at the heart, not the label'.
Yes, one can stumble upon the secret...oh my, yes!
Ah, to believe >an action or a thought...a feeling, a swelling in the heart?
A quadraplegic compared to a lumberjack....actions?
Well, is light a particle or a wave?
My take is devotion, seeking...receiving an answer takes many forms...tailored to the individual.
Not doing what he said to is hard.
Some things he said to do:
Be not afraid
Cast your cares
Do not worry
Give me your burdens
Ask
Seek the Kingdom of God
OK! And thanks!
I think this post was intended for me. Thank you...thank you Lord.
