No one can speak infallibly except for Christ. However, I do think the death penalty is un-Christ-like. I am perplexed by those who claim to be "pro-life" but are also pro death penalty and pro let everyone have guns. It shows how confused a lot of professing Christians are about values and it demonstrates that they do not value mercy and forgiveness as they ought to considering they think God is saving them from eternal torment in everlasting hell fire for simply "believing" that Jesus is the Christ.

Stoning women and children is also biblical. Do you believe we should be practicing that?

There is absolutely no way for you to know what Jesus and the apostles did and did not eat. Your certainty about things such as these is truly arrogant.

It is sensible. But the State has taken on the right to impose the death penalty. I wonder what percentage of people on earth are in favor of the death penalty. It does nothing to demonstrate the love and mercy of God. It is a punishment. No wonder prisons are no longer called the penitentiary.

I listened to a Ted Radio Hour tonight called "Why we hate" and it had the most incredible story of forgiveness toward several people who had committed murders. I highly recommend listening to it. You can find it at Ted Talk Radio on NPR under the title "Why we hate."

I am not even sure if links are allowed on here anymore:

There is more wrong with fundamentalist than HATE and FEAR when they start promoting the death penalty..

Just add it to the list.

No birth control.

Sex for reproduction only.

Homosexuals must remain celibate.

Must attend Mass every Sunday AND Holy Day.

No meat on Friday during Lent.

I think these are all still mandatory.

A relationship with Christ and "Biblical" are two entirely different things.

There are no verses requiring children to be stoned.
