I believe that the Bible is God inspired and literal except for parables and allegories.
That's not really accepted here...this board's form of Christianity is 'agape love'. The agape loving posters may come off a bit hateful most times but that's the conservative Christian posters' fault.

The evangelical fathers re wrote scriptures and convinced that this is what the scriptures say. That's how I see it, too. But at least he knows that equating God to the bible isn't a good thing, which is why he is attempting to distance himself from owning that that is what he's doing. There are those who just flat out call the bible God with no compunction.

For a believer in biblical inerrancy, Holy Scripture is the Word of God, and carries the full authority of God. Every single statement of the Bible calls for instant and unqualified acceptance. Every doctrine of the Bible is the teaching of God and therefore requires full agreement.
