I became involved with a group in WI and they sent me a pamphlet titled: Why Women Need Freedom From Religion and in there tell about there being 200 bible verses that specifically belittle and demean women. So there's no way I can support that book.
Well, if you are basing your view on this outside of Scripture - then I can understand why that's your opinion.
This is the main error of blind belief in an inerrant and infallible scripture rather than the Comforter who abides with us. The scriptures described and recount Jesus as the representative of God Himself so we would know the mind of God through the "mind of Christ." We are supposed to learn the nature of God's mind by learning the nature of Christ's mind. The Sermon on the Mount, 1st Cor 13, and Galatians 5 detail the nature of that mind and THAT is what we are supposed to use to know what God wants from us, NOT a blind reading of a book and the "precepts and doctrines of men" interpreted from it. Jesus told us He would come back to us as the Comforter sent in His name to guide us to the Truth God has already "written in our hearts" so we would NOT need anyone to teach us. Instead, the New Covenant is rejected in favor of the Old Covenant "written in ink" and stone. It is a travesty that corrupts Christ's Gospel (Good News) with the OT ignorance (Bad News).
I bet you have a silver-tongue with the ladies?
And they probably see right through it as well.
Personal attack aside... I will be nice and just say it's a positional issue - not an ability issue.
