Grammar nazi here: "cognizance" would be the noun describing a quality, "cognizant" would be the adjective describing the person who is cognizant of that fact.

Well, I guess the point is that the words used did not convey the message you wanted them to. Speaking of vocabulary, did you check out last week's word: "poseur?"

I did, and it is very appropriate. The thing is you need to read and apply, the key word being "yourself."
