There was no bickering, you see Christians as being special, whereas, I do not.

Sad to know that the same superstitious mindset that caused such hysteria and the execution of innocent people is still alive and well centuries later.

Thing is, He can hold the demon at bay long enough for their will to manifest and express a desire to be set free. Doesn't mean the demon doesn't have them. Look at the example of the man with legion.....Blessings...

Jesus healed this man from head to toe, setting his mind right. And it was the man who spoke for himself, not some fictitious demon(s). It's know wonder, he (Jesus) got into a boat and left them with their nonsense, while sending the man home. The things people believe is ridiculous or absurd, especially, in this day and age.

He didn't stutter, He called it what it was in the demoniac. Those that don't DO, and have never SEEN, always weigh in with OPINIONS, not facts. Stick to the facts, once you know them for yourself.....Blessings....

In my view, since the believer is indwelt by God the Holy Spirit that would argue against any possibility of a believer being possessed by a demon although believers can be influenced by Satanic and demonic doctrines. So if a person who is demon possessed dies, that person never placed his faith in Christ Jesus for eternal life and was never saved and remains in a state of condemnation. If however, a believer who has been influenced by demonic doctrines dies, he is still saved.

The subject of course has theologians on both sides of the issue. Some believe that a believer can be demon possessed, while others believe that a believer cannot be possessed.

Ugh. See, this is why they've removed the "apocryphal" books of the Bible. They'd help people to understand the scriptures better. I was reading Tobit, and Raguel's daughter Sarah had been widowed seven times without consummating her marriage. She was going to hang herself and prayed for God to remove her from the earth because she was tired of being ridiculed for the deaths and not bearing children. Her story is actually similar to Mary's. Anyway, God sent the angel Raphael to remove her troubles. She was destined to marry someone totally different, which is why the other men died. Raphael told her soon-to-be-husband Tobias how to get rid of the demon that had been attacking her. When Tobias followed the angel's instructions the demon fled, and the angel bound him up. So I'm guessing the demons that aren't "caught" and bound until Judgment Day are left here to wreak havoc on the land and corrupt other souls so those people can share their fate. Makes sense, because that's what Satan does.

I think I'm on the side of those who think a believer can be demon possessed. Satan tells God in the Quran that he is going to cause people to deviate, and the righteous present a challenge. That's why the Quran repeatedly advises you to seek refuge in God.

Most of the scriptures that discuss Satan and the angels have been removed from the holy books so people can't figure out what's going on. The narrator of the Quran says "we" a lot. I'm now starting to believe the "we" are the archangels (Uriel, Raphael, Raguel, Michael, Saraqael, Gabriel and Remiel). Some of the missing links in the Bible are found in the Quran, but people won't realize it as long as they think the books have nothing to do with each other. The rest of the missing pieces are in the removed (aka "apocryphal") books. The enemy is busy!
