Lies abound. Anyone who lives in this modern age knows that lies multiply like rabbits. False religions and philosophies are the same because most of them tickle the ear and justify sin.

Nobody likes to be told they are a sinner deserving of the Second Death, though it may be true enough.

God came to earth as the man Jesus. He healed and taught many people about the kingdom of heaven and how God wanted us to live. He was betrayed by His own people and was publicly humiliated and executed but rose from the tomb to show us that HE did indeed have the power to grant eternal life to those who would accept Him.

No other philosophy or religion makes such a claim or can demonstrate the hand of God in such a powerful way.

Therefore it is wise to consider the words written in the Bible and to live by them.

Because the alternative is the Second Death - total and complete destruction without hope of remediation or parole.

that's me, hollering from the choir loft....
There may not be any 'different Gods' but the Bible plainly speaks of 'other gods' who had powers.

Some would refer to those professors as the Elohim (some others may refer to the 21 archangels).

New International Version
Then God said, "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.

New International Version
Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other."

God as a unified multiplicity makes sense to me. Sort of like facets of a diamond.

Remember something worth remembering - that God offers life to those who repent and are saved.

On the day after your party there will be nothing but litter on the floor.
On the day after Christmas and Easter God STILL offers mercy to those who will accept it.

The dogma of some Christian sects such as your own, apparently, portray the “mercy” of God in the same light as the Inquisition: “Say you believe what we tell you to believe or prepare to die a horrific death, Heretic!” Sad how your concept of God has taken on the characteristics of the worst of humanity.

It's what I used to believe, certainly what I was taught all my life as a Christian before I understood who and what I am.

I don’t think they threaten people with eternal torment or annihilation on every thread, but it does happen often

People have to remember that even if it's a part of their belief system discussing that topic here is a no-no.

Side note Hannibal........

The second death is the real death of a person who has went all the way to a symbolic death getting beheaded for Christ as he walks in both his seasons, and the second season is set for death..........

The person who goes all the way to death while still alive, he has no worries of his real death. Revelation is exact instruction to go forth and die right now in this life, to die to one's self.
