At a restaurant I overheard a young woman say that Halloween is her favorite holiday.
Another person said to her that she thought that young woman was a Christian.
The young woman answered she is, and Halloween has nothing to do with Christianity, it's just fun....
Makes me wonder if Jesus would walk around wearing a devils outfit for Halloween.

I'd put money on it that he would.

Jesus had to have had a sense of humor. People don't follow around leaders with somber, draggy personalities. The stern, glaring Jesus in the stained-glass window is the image we get, but who would have listened to him? I think if more people read at least some of his teachings and parables "listening" to them as if he was talking tongue-in-cheek, everything would make more sense.

"He wants to take your coat? Yeah, give him your cloak, too. Go naked!" "He wants to smack you on the cheek? Hit the other one, buddy, here ya go."

Good post Queeny, there are so many pre concieved ideas and most people can't see beyond them, but when one has common sense, Jesus would have had to be a cool breeze hanging with the people he hung with, and we already know that he wasn't pretty, and his Charisma must have been charming, a guy you could love BECAUSE he was so accepting. Of course I believe that all Hallows Eve will be forgotten one day, and yet, God has always taken the ways of the nations to connect with them, he speaks to each people about what they know, and what they knew was a belief in God that was a tutor. It's like Harry Potter, it is a basic foundation of the battle of darkness and of light, and these things tutor children to choose light instead of darkness.

I feel sorry for all the Christians who boycott a lot of movies involving Paganism, and I especially feel sorry for those who have no hope in Valhalla, to never have known Odin, but blessed are the peacemakers, If that is their thing, warriors are something else...........

When me and Trout show up on the steeps of Valhalla, they will be playing that Bee Gees song,'' Staying alive.''

Everyone will turn to see and we will strut down the stairs like peacocks, yeah, good times good times, warriors I tell ya, '' Warriors, come out to play yea.

I'll be the very tall woman wearing the hat with the horns and the long white gown, dancing.

Approximately 45 years ago, I could'a been the guy wearing the tight white pants.

In fact, I was. I had tight yellow ones too. And snakeskin.

Crank it up. You know you want to.

I did! It was my morning exercise, Blackjack the black cat watching my feet with a disturbed look on his face the entire time.

Got any pics of you in those yellow pants?
