I wrote a little poem and I wanted to share it with all you good people. Hope you like it. Thanks for reading and feel free to comment

The sun was hot and heavy on a dusty summer day
I rode through the sand,
trying to find my way.
When I came upon a clearing, a valley of sorts,
and seeking shelter rode there
me and my old horse.

We sat there waiting hours
For the light to shine again
It seemed that in the Western hills
The sun was far away.

When then out of nowhere came a crackle and a burst,
like thunder caught a stagecoach
and swirled it into dirt.

I saw walking my way, an old man robed in white.
He had sandals, not boots.
A strange looking sight

"Wahtcha doin' out here on this story summer day?"
The old man a gentle voice that seemed to melt away

"Come with me, I know a place
You'll be safe awhile

Until the windstorm passes
He said without a smile"

I rode behind him into a small but sunny cave
"I live here " said the old man
pointing to the sparse enclave

ON a wall there hung a golden cross
Shining like the Sun
"Drink some water, " said the Man
"And let me tell you about the Son"

Long ago a good man lived,
as perfect as can be
But the people feared perfection
so they hung him to a tree.
And they let him die while they watched
and called him many things
But the one they missed
was the one thing true
The man was the King of Kings .

Then they buried him that day
and went about their lives
But when they went back to his grave
They found a telling sight.

The grave-clothes were empty,
And a stone had rolled away
And a man stood by some recognized
and they began to pray.

"Oh Lord please forgive us, we knew he was Your Son
But with all our fears and selfish thoughts
We let his death be done. "

And the man with nailed scarred hands,
reached his Arms to his sides
And said
"It was out of Love that I let myself die

Now for your sins forgiven, go on and sin no more."
And up to heaven went the man
as Perfect as before.

SO with our sins forgiven, we thank God for all we need. And all we have and all we do
to show what his love means.
Now my friend the storm has passed.
You can ride along. With the hand of God Himself, keeping you so strong.
For when the storms seem way to deep
and ac ave we want to seek
Just remember, old cowboy, our Faith in God we'll keep.
He'll ride with us through every storm, and no harm shall become
through valleys and shadows and death itself
Jesus is The One

The ONE who rides along us and carries us through this life
And with that we give our Thanks
And try to do what's right.

And so I looked outside the cave, and the storm was all but gone
And riding away, I remembered that man,
and the Story I'll pass on......
