My mistake kjw47, I was under the impression that you held the Bible as authority and went by the rules stated in it.

I just shared with you. God allowed mortal judges to bring justice to situations. Eyes were not given for an eye--Monetary compensations are allowed. God is allowing it. Its the same today. It has not changed. If you ose a hand at work. What do you want for justice--Your bosses hand or $$$$$-- The wise take the $$$$--Afterall hands and the such are not allowed as compensation in most countries. As long as both parties-AGREE to the compensation. Justice is served=an eye for an eye--The agreement makes it so. And if no justice was found--God assures--an eye for an eye--justice WILL prevail. Even if it has to be by his hand.
