The statement actually meant-Justice will prevail. So if one thinks they get away with something--they will pay somehow. Some call it Karma. Bit its actually Gods will. There is no contradiction.

Some of the translators make it kindness and goodness; but I presume there is no real difference among them as to the character of the word which here, in the English Bible, is translated mercy.

The religious mind, however, educated upon the theories yet prevailing in the so-called religious world, must here recognize a departure from the presentation to which they have been accustomed: to make the psalm speak according to prevalent theoretic modes, the verse would have to be changed thus:--'To thee, O Lord, belongeth justice, for thou renderest to every man according to his work.'

An eye for an eye= justice will prevail.

If the original citation says this MUST be done (and they do) then saying they don't HAVE to be done IS a
contradiction.

…23But if a serious injury results, then you must require a life for a life— 24eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25burn for burn, wound for wound, and stripe for stripe.…

You are wrong--If your brother takes your eye--And he is wrong. If you take his eye--you have done the same thing and would be no different. Its why God allowed courts of men. Other means of compensation agreed upon = justice.

Nonsense kjv, absolute nonsense! The Love of God, that which is His essence prevails.

Justice is not His essence, it flows from His essence.

He also had been diagnosed with a progressive illness that would have eventually disabled him.

His parents were regular attendees at their Reformed Church. When they went to service the next Sunday, one of their fellow congregants approached the father and said, "I am sorry about your loss, but you know he went straight to hell because of what he did."

Love thy neighbor, eh? Not in the Calvinist tradition. It's a dark way of thinking, focused on hell and death and sin.
That is the exact opposite of Calvinist teachings. Sorry that happened

“How blessed are those who seek peace!
for they will be called sons of God.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.

That's what he was telling all-They would get justice for their transgressions even if it took his hand to accomplish it. Justice will prevail.

Dear kjw: I repeat, Love the essence of our Heavenly Father prevails. His perfect justice, flowing from His essence, bringing change and transformation can be trusted, He can be trusted!
