4 But Adam began to pray to God and to beseech Him to give him of the fruit of the Tree of Life, saying thus: "O God, when we transgressed Thy commandment at the sixth hour of Friday, we were stripped of the bright nature we had, and did not continue in the garden after our transgression, more than three hours.
5 "But on the evening Thou madest us come out of it. O God, we transgressed against Thee one hour, and all these trials and sorrows have come upon us until this day.
6 "And those days together with this the forty-third day, do not redeem that one hour in which we transgressed!
7 "O God, look upon us with an eye of pity, and do not requite us according to our transgression of Thy commandment, in presence of Thee.
8 "O, God, give us of the fruit of the Tree of Life, that we may eat of it, and live, and turn not to see sufferings and other trouble, in this earth; for Thou art God.
9 "When we transgressed Thy commandment, Thou madest us come out of the garden, and didst send a cherub to keep the Tree of Life, lest we should eat thereof, and live; and know nothing of faintness after we transgressed.
10 "But now, O Lord, behold, we have endured all these days, and have borne sufferings. Make these forty-three days an equivalent for the one hour in which we transgressed."
Even though they are not in the bible, I still think they are important, in that they give us more information/ details, some are extremely bizarre too, so its interesting to factor that in, relating to the books that DID make it into the bible.
we must be careful and aware of satan's MANY tricks. this is why we must stay close to Jehovah God and Jesus ,(Ephe. 6:11 Put on the whole Armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil). his and Jesus followers should KNOW when he's trying to pull a fast one ,(2Cor. 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices). whatever Jehovah God wanted us to know he made sure his faithful servants jotted down what he wanted ,(1Pet. 1:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into). see also (Jer. 30:1,2 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, Thus speak the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book).
satan also can put into the minds of humans the ability to create books of a spiritual nature. doesn't mean those books were inspired by the Almighty God or Jesus. he does this to confuse, or have some question the validity of the bible. whether it's true or not , did man on his own created this book just to fool some of a invisible Creator. just because there's a book out there concerning "Eden", doesn't mean it's from God. if it was and it was meant for our benefit, (2Tim. 3:16), it would have been IN the bible. some say concerning many so called "removed books from the bible" ,that they were removed, NOT true! first Jehovah would NEVER allow ANY MAN, to remove from his words. without letting us know the truth. look how most translators tried to REMOVE, the name "JEHOVAH", replacing it with capital "L-O-R-D." we have to be careful believing ALL that seem of God, is really of God. peace
If you have gifting of the Holy Spirit to teach or to preach then it is best to avoid these text as it will cause confusion with the Holy Spirit of God , as teacher who read these could teach error , as Holy Spirit could quicken what people heard whether it is true or not in confusion or the spirit of confusion , not of God could gain access when they teach in a hurry
So jjo and hljc, why would you not apply those standards and caveats to the book you have in YOUR library?
