I mean in terms of how many a man can have? I know it's Old Testament and I know that things did change in the New Testament, but I know some had multiple women, like I think David. I don't really know.

Jesus didnít say David should have multiple wives.

However, I have it on good authority that Jesus wanted men to be submissive to their wives, so that could get hairy if you have more than one and each commands you to do things that are in conflict with what the others command. Iíd stick with one wife if I was you. Thatís the most you have the hope of pleasing.

On the other hand, you might want to marry a woman who has more than one husband so, collectively, you can keep up with her demands. That would please Jesus.

What is the penalty for having multiple women, not necessarily wives, but I don't know, maybe one additional wife in another country?

*If you can be smooth about it and not break hearts

Check with your wife for what the penalty will be. I’m guessing a lake of fire and a world of hurt.

Penalty? Ask any married man what
the penalties are married to just one!

The penalty is alimony.

It is against the law in the U.S. to be married to more than one partner. I'm not sure what, if any the penalty is. Why do you want more than one partner, if I may be so bold to ask?
