I understand how you might think it, though. You are married to a book which does not include the voices of women.

You seek solace in an ancient boys club.

You never give up, I’ll give you that! Even though your theology is wacky.

I took a typing and home economics class, so I could hang out with the girls.
It just didn't seem right to hang out in the locker room for 30 minutes with the boys.

25He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God.
Crazy crap!

Your god rapes little girls and god’s employees (priests) rape little boys all while you are bathing in human blood.

Why would I give up? I never accept what I cannot change.

My faith suits me. It suits God.

I am not wedded to a book written for men, by men. Funny thing neither was my mother nor grandmother.

Seems to me one might say Jesus was wedded to a book -> the old Hebrew Scriptures.
Jesus often prefaced his statements with the words, "it is written...." meaning already written down in the old.
So, Jesus used logical reasoning on the 'old' in order to explain the 'old' to us.
What suited Jesus was his faith in his God's book - John 17:17 - that's what Jesus accepted as religious truth.
Jesus' faith teaches us that its God's Book (Bible) that suits God.

To me the answer is simple as found at 2nd Corinthians 5:7 Christians walk by faith Not by sight ( sighted things ).
So, there is No outward religious symbol/decoration for Christians.

Jesus was directing his words towards those Roman soldiers who were just doing their job.
So, yes, God did forgive those Roman soldiers because they did Not know any better.

I seem to recall he often followed up "it is written" with "but I say to you..."
