Probably no cross at all. He'd rather that we show our faithfulness to Him by the way we care for one another than by any symbol we hope will convince people that we follow Him.

We don’t have to wonder. Jesus instituted communion and said, “Do this in remembrance of me.” We are to routinely remember His sacrificial death that covers our sins.

That's right he turned into a bible.

yes, ultimately we must live our Christian faith and beliefs in acts of love and forgiveness to others as He has loved and forgiven us. that said, a cross (or crucifix) can be a potent reminder of Jesus' love for us shown in His suffering and death for our redemption, renewal, and reconciliation. so we remember to do the same by "taking up our cross" to follow Him in thought, word, and deed. in the peace of Christ.

"we adore You, oh Christ and we praise You because by Your holy cross You have redeemed the world"

Are you Catholic? All Catholic churches (and I believe Orthodox too) have the crucifix with Jesus on it to remember the ultimate sacrifice. From what I have heard, almost all Protestant churches just use a plain cross without Jesus.

That’s correct. We believe the resurrection is the event that overcame spiritual death.
