The rebirth (resurrection) overcame physical death and initiates spiritual life.

But we still die a physical death.

Acts 13

God has fulfilled this promise to our children in that He raised up Jesus, as it is also written in the second Psalm, ‘You are My Son; today i have begotten You.’ 34 As for the fact that He raised Him up from the dead, no longer to return to decay, He has spoken in this way: ‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.’ 35 Therefore He also says in another Psalm, ‘You will not allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.’ 36 For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep, and was laid among his fathers and underwent decay; 37 but He whom God raised did not undergo decay. 38 Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, 39 and through Him everyone who believes is freed from all things, from which you could not be freed through the Law of Moses.

We were never going to avoid a physical death because it is actually a spiritual birth, NOT a death. We are born as a Spirit upon our death as Jesus was. He is the firstborn of us to be connected to God and He paved the way for the rest of us eliminating any fear or concern about physical death.

I prefer the risen cross, i.e. empty. I believe the miracle of Easter was the Resurection. I know some strains of Christianity focus more on the Passion, the the torture and execution of Jesus.

You don’t believe in the divinity of Jesus, do you?

Jesus elevated His HUMAN consciousness to perfect resonance (Identity) with God's consciousness connecting ALL human consciousness to God. Identity means Identity, Jimmie. Identity with the Divine IS Divine! Just because carnal minds could not grasp the concept of consciousness and Spirit as seeking the Divine does not mean that we are not destined to join (however imperfectly) the Divine as Jesus did under the cover of His perfection (Grace).
