Took a massive one post before this thread got derailed into another pointless exercise in "I don't believe in God and just want to argue with those who do with no actual desire to seek understanding or learn anything" debates

That's, what', one more than usual for this excuse of a 'forum'?

Yet another Christian who confuses God with a collection of pamphlets written by anonymous, primitive men.

Or

In other words, JChousehunter, are you aware that people don’t have to accept the Christian Bible (or any other religious text) as the infallible, inerrant “word of God” to believe that God exists?

Agreed. It's the nature of these forums. I'm sorry I even responded to the hijacking.

Jesus never indicated that we are to mix political systems and religion/spirituality. The only discussion of political systems was when someone asked about giving money for funding the government. He said (paraphrasing) "Give to Ceasar what is his". That and other actions showed that he recognized political systems on their own terms, with their own responsibilities and commitments to honor. He never showed any commandment (or even a desire) to join with politics and/or change it. That and spirituality/religion are two different universes, that can operate together, but are not mixed.

The premise of this thread is false. Christians - based on Jesus' words and actions - are not authorized to mix and blend religion and politics. Each has its own "master" (God/Jesus or man). It's apples vs. oranges, not apple-orange slush. Now if Christians get confused and want to do that, it is their own specific problem and error, not God's or anything Biblical. Put the blame where it belongs.

we need to focus on the topic. God never once endorse biblical sharia law as a mean of governing.

Oh, I think it’s on topic that some self proclaimed Bible-believing Christians would have no problem with a theocracy as long as the people in positions of power upheld their version of God. There are whole “end time” fantasies held to by those people which include just such a scenario.

Are you assuming my relationship with God? IM MAD

Do you spend your days on here arguing with Christ-followers because you're hoping to start the next great apologetics tour and you're stockpiling material, or do you just like furthering your own self-condemnation for the day of judgment?
