Jesus didn't come to bring peace to the world, only to the children of God. Jesus came to bring a sword to unbelievers. He came to separate righteousness from unrighteousness. Holy from unholy. God from the devil.

But, you have no peace. You rave about the sin of others. You pay more attention to others than you pay to your relationship with God.

It is the violence that attracts you. You relish the violence.

God Chooses those who are given eternal life and they receive the gift of faith in Christ.
The second view is God is omniscient and He knows who will choose to place their faith in His Son. This is man’s free will to choose salvation.

Most American’s believe that man has the decision to choose salvation. For those who believe God is completely sovereign on who receives life are considered to have Calvinist point of view. Both sides are compelling and have Scripture to bolster their argument. I use the term “Elect” to identify as Scripture based follower. There are many who call themselves “Christian” and adds to the confusion. But these people have little in common with the faith or Jesus.

jesus taught that the second most important teaching is this: love thy neighbor as thyself.

although i dont adhere to a denomination, i believe interfaith is the embodiment of christ, for jesus often advocated peace--not judgement

Positing extremes is never a good argument. There's a huge difference between advocating Christianity and "throwing stones" at those of other faiths.

I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life... You know the rest.

Ah, but there has been a great deal of further theological discussion on that verse, which seems so black-and-white, cut-and-dried, to so many. Here's an interesting POV that fits nicely with the topic of this thread.
