As we see the headlines about another mass shooting all the usual questions will be asked about how this continues to happen. I am convinced we have allowed violence, death and demonic influences to become part of every day life and then we wonder why these things happen over and over.

We have an entire generation that has grown up with non stop exposure to violent/demonic TV shows/movies, violent music/rap, violent politicians, violent video games, normalized demonic activity, abortion, and we keep bringing people into our country that come from extremely violent cultures. If this is not a recipe for disaster I don't know what is.

The Bible commands us to stay away from these things because they will have a long term affect on how we live our lives. Just living among these influences is like being exposed to highly radioactive waste and not expecting it to follow you home and poison your entire existence. In the OT God did not want his people to live among the heathens because he knew their evil ways would influence His people. We now have no choice but to live among the unsaved but we must protect our minds from being poisoned.

I was very disappointed when some denominations gave their approval of the Harry Potter demon handbook. It may look innocent but it is the devils playground and we should not have that trash in our homes. I know for a fact demons exist, I have witnessed 2 exorcisms and there is nothing in my life that has ever come close to shocking me to my core like those experiences did. If you ever get to see one in person you will never be the same afterward.

We have a rare opportunity with the younger generation that is desperately seeking solutions to the violent world they are living in. The anti-God public school system is accelerating the destruction of their minds with their liberal garbage indoctrination. They must somehow be told how drastically our society has drifted from the Godly influence that kept us sane for most of our existence. The Bible says " My people perish for lack of knowledge". If we don't tell them who will?

You can blame demons and video games and other nonsense but Americans need to look in the mirror and see that they are the problem. Try enacting sane gun laws like the rest of the civilized world and those mass shootings will become rare instead of a weekly event in the US of A.

There has been mass murder throughout history, long before guns were around. There are many mass murders in Europe without guns, most of the time guns just up the body count. Gun laws wont change things too much, many recent massacres were done by people who would not have been restricted from owning a gun. Guns are not going away anytime soon.
The insane senseless massacres we regularly see now rarely ever happened prior to all the causes I pointed out, there have been plenty of guns around for decades without this insanity. I would not expect secular people to have a grasp of the spiritual world but I know it exists, just because you cannot see it does not make it nonsense. Ask God to reveal himself to you, it just might change your entire life.

My life doesn't need changing. My dog has more spirituality than a church full of Christian fundies.

So much hostility, how sad. Maybe you should be spending your time on the Atheist forum with your brothers, misery loves company.

I'm not an atheist but they are more moral, ethical and empathetic than any fundie Christian. Not to mention more intelligent and interesting. I do indeed enjoy spending time with them. Just as I enjoy spending time with my non-fundie Christian friends.

I just have no tolerance for the intolerant.

Why do you assume that non believers are miserable? Shouldn't a religion that preaches agape love not be so quick to condemn others?

And TroutDude is correct t in that reasonable gun control does reduce not only the number of mass shootings but the culture where guns are assumed the answer to all problems.

What is sad is that thoughts, prayers and looking for scapegoats will never address the tragedies you refer to, if they did the frequency of mass killings would be down considerably.

Yes, being killed by knifes, such as is done in London, a gun control city, and the knife murder capital, seems a better means of death. Or as in many cases, the terrorist, in gun control countries, laugh at your gun laws, and mow down civilians, without protection, with their Russian designed AK 47s. I am sure you could get permission to move to London, which does not have Constitutional protections for non felons and citizens to carry guns.

He already lives in a country with reasonable gun control and much fewer mass shootings, school shootings or attacks and has many firearms held by the population at large. For example the AR 15 is legal but limited to 5 round magazines.

It's a culture of hate, racism, and division. Yes, it often leads to death, but the roots of the problem are the seeds of what we see around us. Stamp out those seeds, dig them up, expose them, etc. and there will be less death. People are too often like deer-in-the-headlights, which changes and fixes nothing.
