It's totally subjective. There's no need for anyone to think they have any more spiritual insight than the next guy.

Here's an insight for you: "by their fruit you will know them." Couple that with "the fruit of the spirit is...."

A LOT of people have crabbed and stilted outlooks as well as some fairly vicious ones. "Subjective" is a crock when results are obvious.

Subjective is your truth, or the truth as you see it...that doesn't mean it's universal. Again, no one has any more special/divine insights than the next guy.

The only people who believe that are the "next guys."

Again, no one has any more special/divine insight than the next guy. It's people's egos or desired paradigms that makes them think otherwise.

You keep telling yourself that until you believe it.

I really don't know why you took offense with my post, it would seem to be common sense unless you are a wannabe cult leader or follower.
But I get it, you couldn't find anything else to nitpick about.

Of course that can be the case. The closer you get to something the more clearer things become, i have no doubt that there are countless amounts of folk that are seeing things that i haven't yet. For example, since coming to this forum, i am seeing things i have never seen before. It is nothing to boast about, but it is something that cannot be denied. You would have been better saying we all have the ability to see divine things like the next guy, but sadly some use that ability while others don't.

That's why it's a subjective opinion. It's your truth. You believe it, though others may see zero evidence of anything remotely divine or loving about you.

I didn't take offense. I disagreed. Why is it that some people confuse those things?

I've known deeply spiritual people who radiate inner peace. And I've known fundies with the spirituality of a doorknob.

Don't try to tell me they're the same.
