Why weren’t the 350 other gospels canonized?...

This is a classical 'Ask two Jews, get three answers' type of question. The orthodox answer would be that Jews do believe in Satan, but not the evil enemy of G-d the way Christians believe. For Jews, Satan is the evil impulse that we must resist. Another view is that Satan is the accuser who tries to tempt up and then tell G-d all our bad deeds. But, as the story of Job shows, Satan is a servant of G-d, not an enemy.

As for Hell, orthodox Jews do believe their is a place of painful purification of sins, but only for 12 months, and that only for the wicked. For most people it's less. For exceptionally wicked people (like Hitler), there is eternal punishment, but that is rare.

More liberal Jews adhere less to such supernatural beliefs.

With few exceptions, you do have to be circumcised to become Jewish. It's not a big operation and can be done under anesthesia, and I can tell you from my own experience that it doesn't impair sexual pleasure. ;-) - https://answers.yahoo.com/question/i...9124102AACRNVk

There were no 350 other gospels. Not even close to that number. The few non-canonical 'gospels' which did exist were written during the 2nd century and did not have the theological character of the four canonical gospels which were held by the church to have been written by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

I'm not going to keep going down these rabbit trails with you. They're off topic, and I've no intention on letting you waste my time. We're done.

You’re the one that went off topic...

You're still not letting it go so again, let's debate the topic, not the person.

I was not a Christian BUT I was respectful to respond per what the bible says, as I interpreted it.
I never claimed anything so not sure where you got this claiming to be an atheist.

That was stated multiple times to you.

Do you have anything to add to the actual topic which might help my client at her yearly meeting?

For now, I might be one of the "athiests" you are describing. Yet minus the "nutty ideals" as I only study what Christians do, the Bible.

You posted this in a different thread yesterday:

Do you know the meaning of the word, “honestly”?

Just acknowledge that you were presenting yourself as a non-Christian in this sub- forum one day, and as a Christian elsewhere the day before.

Nice work, Pleroo. I have a deep and abiding dislike of those who misrepresent themselves - in other words - liars.

Apparently, there is some kind of personal agenda going on with witnessing.
That gives me more reason to be concerned for the disabled girl/woman.

It also makes me question the facility that tends to this girls needs.

Um....I've said nothing dishonest what-soever. '
We had that issue with my son recently so yes, I am saved now.

I've been searching for a while...has this not been noticed in the Christianity forum?

Shame on you for accusing me of lying instead of congratulating me on my salvation

Wow, I mean this is really evil stuff here ^^^ people I suggest you mark these evil ones and refuse to correspond with them
