Because a god worthy of the capital G couldn't possibly be the bumbling, psychotic, murderous narcissist depicted in your "holy" book.

People interested in the possibility of there being a real God would of necessity have to begin their search elsewhere.

Not impossible, but we need to do our best to live by His Word- so that would make it much more difficult. There is a reason He gave us His written Word.

How would you learn about the true love of yahweh killing desires for utterly destroying children, babies and camels?

Nothing like a revenge slaughter to really get to know what you worship.

1 Samuel 15 King James Version (KJV)

2 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.

3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.

What a god

They knew the terms and conditions back then, obey or be punished. We might have Grace to repent of our dirt currently, but of we dont we will face judgement on judgement day.

Everybody faces the mirror on their judgment day.

Don't think you can turn away.

It was a revenge slaughter for what the ancestors did. Not what the Amalekites were doing at the time.

1 Samuel 15 King James Version (KJV)

15 Samuel also said unto Saul, The Lord sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the Lord.

2 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.
