Eating, drinking and believing? (hell, believe, Jesus Christ, verses)

Notice in the verses below who has eternal life. They are two very different scenarios.

Do you think believing and eating His flesh and drinking His blood are the same?

Do you think hearing His word causes belief?

Do you think believing causes one to hear His word?

John 5:24 NRS

24 Very truly, I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come under judgment, but has passed from death to life.


John 6:54 NRS
54 Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood have eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day;
