"Why is nudity so offensive to the religious right?"
Why is keeping covered so offensive to the preverted?
Anyone who doesn't conform their "Christianity" to the radical agenda of social engineers determined to recreate the USA in the image of Nazi Germany (called "the society of the naked man") is not worth regarding because they are the "religious right." Hogwash!!
I have no idea. I have never been offended by it. However . . . in my marriage . . . I have been very protective of it as a stimulus to action. Consequently, my wife and I have never seen each other naked unless we intended to do something about it. All other times our privacy has been sacrosanct. It has served to keep things fresh and interesting through 46 years of marriage. Constant exposure to ANY stimulus can extinguish its power to stimulate. Other than that . . . the "offense" thing is completely beyond me.
Wouldn't be if woman would have listened to the man.
Oh wise one don't you mean (according to the story)...wouldn't be if they BOTH had listened to god? No need to thank me there for correcting your typo.
no offense, but this is where the problem lies, see, men just can't see beauty when they see a naked body, they see sex, yes sex is beautiful, but I'm just saying that there is a beauty to the human body outside of sex. Not all nude portraits are suppose to make you men think about sex. They're about the curves, the symmetry, the texture, the similarities between the body and the natural world, but men see a naked portrait and think 'sex' lol geez
It has to do with reproduction. The old scratch and sniff. Temptation isn't "good" to the pious unless the naked bodies are trying to produce as many screaming beet faced babies as possible for the sky ogre. Nakedness for the sake of fresh air is a mortal sin. The pious get big gold stars for avoiding nakedness as it relates to simply having a good old time.
It's very simple, you see when Adam sinned and the creation fell he realized he was neked and was ashamed, nudity is a constant reminder of our fallenness from God therefore nothing to be proud of and when we dress pervocative or show off our body it is basically an act of defiance/ disobedience.
