I love the Psalm 23!
There was a time in my life when there was such a great opposition in my life and we had went camping. I was sitting in our 5th wheeler looking out the window and reading and talking to the Lord Jesus about this situation going on.
He brought Psalm 23 to me in my heart. I was looking out the window pondering up the scripture He gave me.
Where we were camping we were in this meadow kind of, and right in front of me, but on the side of the 5th wheeler was a creek. It was also a area where the people who owned the land had an open range for cattle.
The Lord spoke to my heart when I looked upon and out was that I saw the green pastures so to speak in the meadow. And the creek represented the still waters. My heart just fell into what He was saying to me, that He would lead me in His paths of righteousness for His name sake. He gave me the hope that day, not to walk in fear or doubt with what I was seeing through the flesh. But to continue trusting Him even if that time of walking in my life was the valley of shadow of death. That He would restore my soul.
That was the best camping trip I have ever had in my life.... Psalm 23 became my own personal promise from Him.
