Smile Prayer..........

How do you pray.....to God....( not refering to saints or mary)....
What do you pray for......who do you pray for.........

Does anyone 'pray the scriptures'............

do you pray dailey...or on a whim....

is it to ask....or for worship and praise..........

do you do it cuz you feel you have to...or get to......

does anyone have a 'prayer journal'.........

does anyone use a specific prayer....already estsblished and repeats it?...

why do you pray.........:

I thought it would be interesting and hopefully uplifting to see how we communicate with Jesus.....

I pray every day.....some days its a "chant" if you will to try to keep me focused...
for example; "your word I have hid in my heart that I might not sin against you".

sometimes its for miniutes at a time on specific people God has layed on my heart... for salvation or intersession......

I have to say honestly I'd love to pray more often...in worship and praise...and just in
quantity and quality....
more than "help"....

Hi, I pray daily, usually in the morning and I pray that God helps me to make the right choices, that He gives me wisdom, direction, strength, patience at work, spiritual growth and understanding. I pray for the safety of family and friends, for their health, spiritual growth, specific needs. I pray for specific needs in general, for leadership of the country. I say prayers throughout the day but need to do more of this. I use to keep a prayer journal and I think that I will start one again. I pray to stay focused on God, to draw closer to Him and to grow in Him. I also pray for specific needs and for protection. God bless.

findaway is on a distinguished road
I pray for my family. I pray for protection for my family and myself. I sometimes pray for my enemy. I used to keep a prayer journal and may start one again. I sometimes just thank the Lord for previous answers to prayers and thank him for all the blessings. Sometimes I just thank him for who he is and wait to hear what he will speak to me. I remind him of his scriptures and promises to me during times of trouble. I pray every morning and tell him that I need him for without him I can do nothing. He is alway good!

Prayer is utterly essential. I pray quite a bit throughout the day. I'm not trying to be "super-spiritual" in saying that, but I can't get through a single day without taking the time to get away with Him whenever possible. I will actually be taking time away from the forums to get alone with Him. I've been distracted so much lately with things going on and I need to reign it all in and get my focus back. Satan uses the things of this world, even the everyday things, to distract us from what's really important. I just went through major changes in my life in several areas and I need to slow it down and pull in to Him.

Today we're all on the outside of the cemetery gates. But, one day, if Jesus tarries, we'll be on the inside and at that moment, the only thing that will matter is what we did to advance God's kingdom. Everything else is foolishness.

I pray maybe several times a day..It is not a prayer from the bible, planned out or done because I think I have to..I pray because it brings me close to God and because of the peace it brings to my soul that he is never far from me..It is more like speaking to God in my mind..I don't always ask for something, most times it is to thank him..In rl, I never pray out loud, for fear of being laughed at, ridiculed or corrected..Sometimes I pray for the countries and world leaders..I always pray for my familys health and welfare, and that they will remain close after I die..I don't keep a prayer journal, God does that for meI pray for the requests in the prayer thread, and I pray for all my friends all over cd

I pray before retiring to bed every night. It is my "standard", happens every day prayer time. I begin with my prayers of thanksgiving. Thanking God for my family, their health, etc. I pray for people on CD. I lift up any individual needs that have been laid upon my heart. I also pray the Lord's Prayer and a Hail Mary. Then I conclude with asking Mary to pray for my children and for their health.

Beyond my evening prayer there is nothing 'standard'. I talk to God all day long. (Oh, I pray before meals.) Throughout the day, my prayers are simple, more of a conversation. I am constantly thanking God for things. If my child just misses getting hurt, if I reach someone by phone that I had not been able to speak with, if I just miss out on being in an accident, if my child/children do something especially wonderful that warms my heart, etc, etc. I don't believe in coincidences. I believe that all things are under God's control. I try to recognize God's hand in all things.

I have always wanted to have a prayer station. A place where I can sit quietly (which in itself is a joke--quiet time). I would love to have a prayer book. I would like to keep it set out (in my prayer station) so that other people could write their needs/requests in it. That way I could always pray for other people's needs.

I am a firm believer in the power of prayer. I have seen prayers answered.
