Bigotry is not acceptable. Freedom to seek God as one wishes is a God given freedom.
Get thee behind me Satan....was spoken to one of the disciples and clearly fits when one is caught up in condemning fellow believers. Repent and get on the straight and narrow, walk as Christ walked and leave the fanatics in the wallow.
I am an ex-Jehovah's Witness, so it prompts me to start a new thread about the JW's. My question to others is whether Christians, in general, are aware of Johannes Greber, a practicing occultist.
He (Greber) consulted demon spirits to get further clarification on doctrine which caused him to revise John 1:1, where he interjected one letter, the letter "a". He changed the scripture to state that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was A GOD", and such is the belief system that dictates that Jesus and God are 2 different entities. He released a book called "Communication with the spirit world" and this book speaks of his (and his wife's) practice of consulting demon spirits.
The Jehovah's Witnesses are aware that their doctrine is derived from Greber's traslation, and continue to use it, and they even stated that Greber wasn't wrong in believing this.
Though there are several other "hidden secrets" that the JW's keep so quiet, this is just the tip of the iceberg and I wondered how widely known it was. Please state if you (no matter who you are) were aware of this fact. And would you mention it to a Jehovah's Witness that came to your door? Or would you just dismiss them after such knowledge?
Just curious---
Can you point us to the information that verifies these claims?
This is very interesting.
(I'm also interested in seeing freedom's response to the previous post)
You do realize they are works based believers, right?
They do not believe the blood of Christ is enough to save anyone. Most will tell you they 'hope they are good enough'.
It's sad really.
Eternal assurance is something achievable.
We can (and should) know exactly what our eternal destination is!
(Sorry ambassador, this is off-topic from your Greber points in the OP)
Belief is a work, it is an action word. Every believer should accept the fact that we play a big part in our growth towards oneness.
Every organized religion has differences in how they express, and teach their interpretation of scriptures, many have re-written scriptures to fit in with their belief. This may stunt ones growth and understanding, but to me it does not put them in the unbeliever catagory.
There are sincere seekers in every denomination, whether we like it or not, God hears their prayers and according to the individuals hungering and thirsting after righteousness will they be edified.
Believer bashing comes from an insecurity in our own walk, and sometimes a self absorbtion to do God's work for Him, while leaving a trail of bad blood.
We all have work to do, loving God and Jesus requires us to keep His commandments, the more we focus on anothers walk the less we are looking at our own, and how can we fulfill all righteousness when distracted by comparison and strife.

Free, I think your wrong with the "Get Behind Me Satan...." Peter wasn't condeming any fellow believers, he was rebuking Jesus telling him he didnt' need to die to achieve greatness. The same thing the devil tried to do in the desert.
Anytime you can invite a JW into your house to give them the True gospel you do it. Any and all information to help with this should be greatly appreciated. Ambassador, any info you can provide, please do!
Just remember, you have to deliver the message with gentleness and kindness!

This is exactly what I was trying to say in the other thread. Cults such as JW's and Universalism cannot see any further than the end of their brainwashed noses. Sorry, ambassador. Either JW's and Universalists are connected, as freedom just implied, or la-la land is a very well recognized trait among cults. Either way, you guys stick out like a sore thumb.
Ambassador...isn't it true that JW's also believe that only 144,000 people are going to heaven? Isn't it true that they don't celebrate Christ's birthday - Christmas? Freedom, if you are a fellow believer, then that makes you a JW.

The subject matter was different, the approach the same, fanatical self puffing up to appear righteous, it happens to us all. The truth of Peter's heart (before he learned better) was that he denied Jesus. He had not grown at that time to the place Jesus knew he could.

The true gospel according to whom? I dare say few if any i have ever met know the true gospel according to the path of righteousness and perfection. The job of the Holy Ghost is to lead into all truth, not for us to do.
JW's believe in God and Jesus, let the nuances be left for judgement day, or for their own asking and seeking to reveal, unless of course God is directing your words. If that is the case, love - not self will take the lead.

Which is why my comments were what they were... did not sense either attributes in the OP's posts.
We don't save! We live it and others inquire. Let your light so shine, that them seeing your good works, may glorify your Father in heaven. Not hearing, Seeing.

All believers are witnesses of God. Let your light Shine....
