Have you noticed lately,that there are lot of wolves and goats, in the body of Christ, that are good putting on a church face , talk walk, sing, and act holy; Or is it just me??
but behind closed doors are ravenous wolves, dividing and devouring those that are not only new converts, but even the very elect;
A pastor spoke Sunday on being real, as a professing follower of Christ;
I've also just started to realize that Christianity is a very profitable business
The televangelism, prophets, musicians (that are on satellite channels that are leading a double life (porno, cursing) ..
This is what makes me know that the Prophetic word of God in the Bible is true. because everything is happening just like the bible said it would,
this is not a mere coincidence; but we have to fine tune our discernment and wisdom, and pray for the Holy Spirit to guide us in all things;
Just wanted to know if anyone has noticed all the deception first hand in the body of Christ (collectively) lately.
I am aware that a lot of it has been "in the closet" so to speak since the beginning of the church... But I'm speaking of now 2008
Thanks for your input
God Bless

I been noticing it since about 1983..all the more reason to put our focus on Christ..whats the verse of that song...goes like..
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus. Hebrews 12:2

Smile Always keeping me on my toes

Thanks arguy;
I can always count on you to keep me focused;
This saying and scripture text is so true, but it's times like these , when
we need affirmation; not to grow weary in well doing;
God Bless You
p.s. I am going to try and rep ya!!
If I can't
I'll just say a special prayer for you and your household

Thanks arguy, I love that song, it is so true. When we keep our minds focused on Jesus everything falls into place.

Yes there are many wolves out there.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 "For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to right teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever they want to hear". They will reject the truth and follow strange myths".

Let our light so shine... and as we live the word, those that have eyes to see.....will.
We can make a difference in other believers lives just by living every moment walking as He walked.
Forgiving our brothers and sisters for every offence, and every mistep,
with our eyes single to His Glory.
This is the time of the Tares and the Wheat.

godspeed,

freedom

Oh.

My.

Yes.

They abound.

They've always been around but I believe that they've become more bold and daring due to political correctness, the emergent church and the seeker sensitive and word of faith movements. Not to mention the convenience and entertainment driven American culture. Today, anything goes.

As for myself I don't watch the sky,or look for any signs of the second coming of Christ in the news broadcasts or from televangelists..There have been wolves among the sheep since the beginning of the early church..I just try to live each day to my fullest, best, most humbleway in His service..I just hope that if he does come again during my lifetime that I will be ready to meet Him..Right now I am just trying to be sure that I am worthy of being in His presence when my life is finished here.

I haven't watched television in many years. Don't even own one. Even so, it doesn't take much to notice these things going on. Anyone who knows scripture can see the increase in these events without needing to look for them. The Bible says when we see these things occurring... I don't think we can help but to see them.

Forgive me if I sound a bit blunt, but it does get a smidge tiring when people infer that those who recognize signs of the last days are obsessing about it. We are not supposed to ignore these signs or not watch for them. No, we're not supposed to obsess over them either, but the OP was just asking a simple question based on his observations. Recognizing these signs is supposed to be an encouragement to us, not for us to disregard. It's an encouragement because when we notice these things, we are supposed to look up, because our redemption draws nigh!

Simple Lving, I meant no inference that anyone was obsessing about the end of time..I try not to judge anyones personal thoughts and their opinions are always respected by me..I was just stating my own opinions as to what is most important to myself..If I have offended the op, Yhwhshalomjr, I certainly apologize to her.

As I have said before, each day I get up with the best intentions and each day I fail but I will never stop trying to please my father. I hope that one day I will also be worthy of his presence.

It is so easy to go the wrong path and much harder to live the life the Bible
asks us to; maybe that's why there are so many people walking a life without
Christ in their lives!
